Calculate the height of the posts to be installed. Your post height will be determined by building code. The following is a typical formula for figuring post height
Cut the posts if necessary
Add gravel base to the bottom of the post hole.
Set the post in place against the layout line and temporarily hold it with levels
Add concrete following the manufacturer’s instructions. Work it to about 2" below the surface to allow for fill dirt later
Install aches to hold on the posts firmly
